You might be wondering why we’re launching a print newspaper in 2024.

In a world dominated by social media and the internet, we wanted to take a different path. Instead of catering to algorithms, we’re catering to you, our neighbours.

We’re here to help you disconnect from the online world and reconnect with the vibrant area we’re lucky to call home. Simply put, Pulse MVP allows you to step away from your screens and connect with the community in a tangible and genuine way.

We also understand the recent challenges in the digital landscape, including Meta’s recent news ban, which has threatened news platforms. With a print product, we feel more confident that we will be able to provide quality content and ensure that the stories that matter most find their way to you.

Having said this, if you prefer to get content online, don’t worry. Pulse MVP will also be there to read and share to your heart’s content.

However, we also know that although the internet seems ingrained into some of our lives, there are some of our neighbours who don’t have the luxury of access to fast and reliable internet.

We feel it’s our duty to ensure no one is left behind. Through a print publication, we believe we can best serve our entire community.

Our inspiration for this paper also came directly from that community. We walked up and down the streets we all share, and we saw countless untold stories, important conversations that needed to be had, and the potential for a better, more informed future.

We want you to know that the heart of our community beats within these pages.

Readers Wanted.

We’re just getting started and need your feedback.
